On Tuesday, March 21, acclaimed author Barbara Kingsolver visited with students, teachers and librarians participating in The Origin Project. In addition to speaking about her writing career, Kingsolver spoke about the impetus behind her newest novel, Demon Copperhead. A native of Appalachia, Kingsolver told students there’s much more to the people of Appalachia than what’s portrayed in the media. Her characters are a testament to resilience and redemption.
